Woman claims husband wants to sacrifice son for ritual, seeks cop protection

A woman in Bengaluru accused her husband of harassment and alleged coercion to harm their child in a suspected occult ritual and sought police protection.
In her complaint to the police, the woman claimed that her husband, identified as Saddam, wanted her to sacrifice their young child in a ritual called ‘kutti pooja’ purportedly aimed at bringing wealth and prosperity to the family.
The KR Puram resident wrote a letter to Bengaluru Police commissioner with the subject line “Urgent complaint regarding non-acceptance of complaint by KR Puram Police Station”.
According to the woman’s letter, she initially met Saddam while she was employed with a courier company. He had introduced himself as a Hindu man ‘Aadhi Eshwar’, reportedly to gain her trust.
Despite having married under Hindu rituals, she accused him of forcing her to marry according to Islamic rituals and forcibly sign a “Muslim marriage certificate”. She said that he insisted she changed her name to attract good fortune.
She alleged that the “abuse has intensified” since then and when she became pregnant, she even “endured physical assault” from Saddam alias Aadhi Eshwar.
In the complaint, she said that following the birth of their son, Saddam’s “intentions to harm escalated”.
“He has repeatedly threatened to sacrifice my son in a black magic ritual called ‘kutti pooja’ for wealth gain,” she wrote in her complaint.
Alarmed by his insistence on this ritual, the woman fled with her son to her family’s home in Tumkur. She alleged that Saddam continued to harass her despite having moved away, and that he even threatened her mother.
According to sources, Saddam reportedly engaged in occult practices, including late-night chanting of mantras, which further contributed to the woman’s fear and trauma.
In the letter she also said that she initially reported this to the KR Puram Police Station, where her complaint was not accepted.
Desperate for intervention, she approached Bengaluru Police Commissioner Dayanand, hoping higher authorities would take notice of her plight. She sought police protection and assistance as she feared for her safety as well that of her son and mother.
